Lifestyle Project | Week 3 / Muse

3/52 MUSE

This week's word was Muse. It was very fitting for me, especially this week. Lately I've been struggling with figuring out which creative direction I want to put my energy into. I have so many ideas and dreams, and I feel like I can't attain any of them, let alone just one. I've been lacking so much inspiration and motivation, and I was just so frustrated with everything.

It wasn't until my husband asked me, "Well, what do you want to do. Like best case scenario." I didn't even hesitate, I listed out my ideal career and creative future. He said "ok, then do it." I was super bummed. out at first because in my head I was like, "Ok, Carson. Easier said than done. Why are you being so black and white about this? I feel like there's so much more to this situation." He then kept encouraging me and said, "you can do all of that, so don't talk about it, just get it done."

Aren't men so great with words? haha.

I knew he was right. I've always admired how he's just such a go-getter. And better yet, the proof is in the pudding with that one. So, I just wiped the sissy off my boots, and decided to get to it.

It's going to be a process for me as I navigate my path and direction, but I love my support system. I was thinking of this verse 1 Peter 4:10-11

"God has given each of you a gift from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Use them well to serve one another. 11 Do you have the gift of speaking? Then speak as though God himself were speaking through you. Do you have the gift of helping others? Do it with all the strength and energy that God supplies. Then everything you do will bring glory to God through Jesus Christ. All glory and power to him forever and ever! Amen."

God has blessed everyone with their own set of individual and unique skills, talents and gifts. If only we were all confident in that, how much greatness we could achieve if we just used what he has freely given us and what a shame it would be to let anything God blesses us with to go to waste.

So, this year, this verse is my inspiration to chase after what I'm passionate about. It's my muse.
