5 date ideas

I love thinking of fun ways to get out and make memories with my honey, and I wanted to share some of the more active date ideas I’ve been thinking about lately!

bike ride

A bike ride date seems like the most simple and obvious cheap date idea to me, and for that reason it’s one of my absolute favorites! Do not miss this date y’all. It’s kind of underrated, but it’s the most fun time. Carson and I did this a lot when we were first dating and we had a blast. We’d ride all over different neighborhoods, scope out green belts, parks, and pretty much anything we could find. I love this date for those beautiful spring and summer afternoons. Don’t forget, throw a bag of chips and a couple yummy drinks in your bike basket!

geocaching

If you’ve never been geocaching, you are totally missing out. I did this in high school pretty often and I was just so intrigued by it and I still am! It’s so funny to me, but it totally makes for a super unpredictable and fun date idea! I love this because there’s a little bit of mystery to it- you don’t know exactly what you’re going to find or where you’re going but there’s a lot of fun and adventure to be had with this one. All you need to do is download the Geocaching App and get hunting!

champagne hike

This date idea is one for those who love getting active, but also like to have a good time. Pack a bottle of champagne and a blanket in your backpack, throw on your sneakers and get to the peak of the mountain in time for sunset. Pop the bubbly, and take in the view!

charcuterie picnic

OK, I know picnics are a total date cliche, but they are for a reason- They’re fun and romantic. I love the idea of going to a fine foods market and picking out some cheeses and meats, some fruits and a bottle of wine then going to a park or grassy area, laying down a cozy blanket and setting up a sweet little picnic. I think these settings make you feel relaxed and sort of out of your element and allowing for some awesome conversations over charcuterie and wine. I say yes to picnics. Make sure you bring some pretty platters and make your picnic look nice too. It’s all about the aesthetic!

lakeside bonfire

The simplicity of a bonfire date makes me so happy. It reminds me of every Nicholas Sparks movie and that’s what good dates are made out of. Get cozied up in a flannel shirt, head out to the lake or ocean nearest you, and start a little fire. Don’t forget to bring stuff for s’mores or if you’re like me- just bring the potato chips and hot dogs honestly.

I hope you’ve been inspired to plan a date day or night with your babe. I’d love to hear some of y’alls favorite from this list or maybe you have some great ideas of your own! You can never date your lover enough y’all- keep that in mind!!
